7 Ways for Resellers to Know WHAT to Sell on eBay HD

Every reseller always asks me this question: “Chris, what should I be selling on eBay?” Well, the answer varies from season to season: some things are evergreen and can be sold year round, other things trend better at different times of year. You always need to be ready to pivot when it comes to reselling and be ready to list different items if necessary. eBay is a massive selling platform, and if you know what you’re doing you’ll be able to maintain strong momentum year round. David Epstein, author of “Range” once said a way of thinking is much more important than detailed prior knowledge. I couldn’t agree more: if you had major success selling a certain item, it is susceptible to tapering off or not being as profitable in the long run. This is only a problem if you only know things about this specific item and aren’t ready to adapt or innovate on the fly. When you focus more on learning about consumer behavior, how to navigate eBay and making sure you profit, you’ll be far better equipped to handle yourself than if you only got into the game because you wanted to sell a certain item. The more broad you can be with the item (for example, instead of looking up Jordan 1 on eBay, you look up “shoes” or “sneakers” or “basketball shoes”), the easier it will be to track previous items like yours and look at past trends.
