The easy ones are the closing off all running apps, or maybe a restart of the phone. This often does the trick. Failing that you can disable some of the other features that use the mic to process information like noise cancelling and app control. these both use the mic and can sometimes glitch out and prevent the mic being used normally. Also a factory reset is a good method of testing the mics with no apps running or installed so you can see if you need a replacement phone or maybe a trip to the repair store.
