HUGE Camera Bug Exploit in CS:GO Major Qualifier (3 Coaches Suspended/Banned) HD

Some breaking news hit the counter strike scene yesterday. 3 coaches were found cheating during the ESL Major road to Rio (aka the qualifier for the major at the end of this year). Dead, MIBR’s coach, HUNDEN, Heroic’s Coach and MechanoGun, Hard Legion’s coach were all caught using a spectator bug that allowed them to look around the map freely during a match. Having a third eye in the match that gives up enemy locations and other information is obviously a massively unfair advantage and can be sort of looked at wallhacking in a sort of degree. The bug was researched and found by Michal Slowinski, a freelance referee. A big shout out to him for literally spending weeks on end reviewing demos and matches to finally find this exploit. As for the punishments, ESL issued a suspension to each of the coaches and the teams will be disqualified from the tourney along with any prize money won. Dead got a 6-month banHUNDEN got a 12-month ban And Mechano a 24-month ban As you can imagine many people have been talking about this terrible display and a lot of different topics have been coming up in the crossfire. A few years back the team was permanently banned for fixing an online match. They have yet to be unbanned to this day, now let’s compare that to this situations. The three coaches were literally cheating in a major qualifier, a much worse offense and the punishment is rather tamed, a 2 year suspension as the worst penalty. Now, I’m wasn’t even a big fan of IBP at all but the double standard holds true. Another thing to take into account is what role did the players have in this? There really is no way of proving that the players allowed this to happen or were completely aware of what was going on. If so should they be suspended or banned as well? The only way to really prove anything would be to look at the voice comms during the games if available. I think allowing this to happen or even encouraging this behavior as a player should warrant a suspension at the least. With the major around the corner, it is concerning to think of what teams might try to pull during a $2 million dollar prize pool event online, if there is an opportunity to get an advantage or cheat, chances are there are many players would take it without questions, That’s not to say all players would, but I have no doubt there’d be a handful that would.Anyways, thank you very much for watching.
