DELAIN - Kick Off Show (Live at Hedon Zwolle 2014)

Full 2014 tour kick-off show by the Dutch band Delain performed @Hedon Zwolle NL on 21 March 2014.When I filmed Delain one year ago in March 2013 I only knew their third album 'We Are The Others'. For me this was the album that defined them as a band, and that opened up the gates to an ever growing audience. This third album also opened the path for me to discover their first two albums 'Lucidity' and 'April Rain' which are gems in the rough and somewhat lacked the overall 'Delain-catchiness', although certainly already present in several individual songs. I am a Symphonic Metal fan with the emphasis on Metal (ReVamp is currently my favourite band), so therefore the 'poppy' Delain songs are less appealing to me. However as a music lover I admire these musicians and I would certainly define myself as a Delain-fan. Seeing them come this far in just one year makes me feel proud and happy for them that their fanbase is growing by the minute.
