Australia continues to suffer from severe weather, On the afternoon of August 31, parts of Melbourne were hit with severe storms, rain and hail. This is particularly evident in the northern area, where yards and sports fields and streets have turned white, Some drivers were so frightened by the storm that it was too late to park their cars, Thick hail covered the windows of cars parked on Thornbury Street, In Northcote, cherry-sized hailstones fell on the ground for at least 10 minutes, accompanied by lightning. As of 6pm, there were 83 distress calls across the state, most of them from Thornbury. The local government issued an orange warning, reminding residents to reduce their going out and avoid the harm of hail.
