Look @ Mageia 6 - Some Of That Old Black Magic? I look at Mageia 6, released July 2017, and supported for 18 months according to the documentation. Mageia is the rightful heir to the once mighty Mandriva (and before that, Mandrake) dynasty. Mageia provides a complete Linux system with all the features of the original Mandriva Linux. Mageia has a smallish, but very active and enthusiastic forum community. Compared to the other Mandriva forked distros such as ROSA, OpenMandriva, and ALT, Mageia is the closest to the original by including all the "Drake" tools and the Mageia Control Center. In this video, I look at installing the lxQt desktop from the classic installation medium, which is a 3.7GB ISO. Live DVD are also available for the KDE Plasma and Gnome desktops. Enjoy.
