The light kit is for owners that want to add additional accessory lighting to their Jeep. The lights have a driving light pattern, which is a fairly low and wide spread pattern. It’s important to note that the lights are designed for trail use, not as replacement lighting for the factory headlamps while on the road. Heavy-Duty Construction: The Hella 500 black magic lights comes with 12V lamps with 55-watt halogen bulbs that producing a driving light pattern. The light housing is constructed from a lightweight impact resistant ABS plastic housing and covered in a bonded glass lens, which does a great job of keep fine dirt/dust out while on the trail. The lights also come with a useful stone shield to help protect the glass cover from rocks or other debris from the trail. Moderate Installation: This install of the Hella 500 black magic driving lamps is a moderate-level installation; although the kit comes with a wiring harness, it still requires some additional wiring that could involve soldering or other type of strong connections. In addition, the lights utilize a post mounting that can be installed in a variety of locations; overall the installations should take about an hour to complete with basic hand tools.
