Experimental lazy breathhold dive - down with a rock to 46 m and back up with a float HD
I load a rock into a sling with a hard, pressure resistant float. The plan is to release the weight from the surface float and get pulled down, then ride the float back up, all this while holding a go pro to film what I do. Luckily I can equalize hands free - so this allows me to hold the camera. It was not as easy as it looked - the lanyard needed attention (to prevent tangling) and my mask leaked (not shaving my whiskers!!!). It was 12 deg C below, Brrrrr! Bruce Mills meets me as safety diver - thanks Bruce. I need to have a mount zone for the camera to be able to leave it while I do some of the work - releases from the top and bottom. Keep an eye on this space - more to follow over the next few months.
