Singapore Airlines | Premium Economy | SQ965 | A350-900 | Flying During Global Pandemic | Dec 2020 HD
Since WHO declared COVID-19 as global pandemic, countries closed their borders. Whether land, sea, or air borders. Restrictions are implemented to manage the spread from one country to another. In this video, from Indonesia, the worst country in ASEAN, to Singapore that just recently successfully controlled the number of local transmissions. I took Singapore Airlines SQ965 on Airbus A350-900 from Jakarta (CGK) Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Singapore (SIN) Changi Aiport. Chose Premium Economy seat number 33K with window seat. Upon checked in passenger must show negative PCR test to ground crews. Passengers must took the test within 72 hours prior flight time. Also staffs in check-in counters checked SG Arrival Card has been completed on apps or email. Configuration was 2-4-2. There are only 5 passengers in Premium Economy with only 1 passenger in each row. Only those with same household may sit next to each other. Passengers mandatorily wear masks during flight except while eating and drinking. I got new simplifed servings, Muslim Meal special meal. Which I thought much smaller compare to normal days. While for beverages Singapore Airlines served the usual options, tea, coffee, and variety of soft drinks. Cutleries sadly now single use compare to washable silverware. Maybe to limit physical contact to droplets from passengers. Other services remain same. And crews wear masks, plastic gloves, and face shield covered their eyes. On landing on the Terminal 3, passengers could only left the plane based on their groups as called by the cabin crews. And priorities to disembark were given passengers with final destination Singapore. While transiting ones were asked to remain seated until Singapore passenger entirely left the airplane. Ground crews checked disembarked passengers from boarding passes. In purposes to check seat numbers. Transiting passengers disembarked the last after all Singapore destination passengers left the bridge. They were asked to remain in dedicated transit area. Roaming around the terminals are strictly prohibited for those coming from Indonesia. Prior entering immigration area, passengers’ arrival e-card were checked one by one. Those who had not completed would be asked to complete in designated seating areas. Guided by officers in uniforms. Immigration officers checked entry approvals, PCR test showed negative results, as well as usual passport and boarding pass. Those coming from Indonesia mandatorily received Stay at Home Notice (SHN). Quarantine procedures in SHN Dedicated Facilities (SDF) provided by Singapore government.
