SKY TRUMPETS: The Kiev video (Part 1) HD

Below is the link to the first of many videos on the phenomenon to go viral. Filmed in Kiev, Ukraine, it was uploaded to YouTube on August 11th, 2011. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcUDYBIrWio&t=76s Many have pointed out how similar it sounds to the ominous sky trumpets in the movie “Red State”, which was also released in 2011. So case closed on the Kiev video right? Not necessarily… The sounds are certainly similar, but Red State was released over a month and half AFTER the Kiev video was posted to YouTube. So unless the movie was leaked prior to the release date and somehow ended up in the hands of some random person in Kiev – the sounds in the Kiev video could NOT have been taken from Red State. Though it’s unlikely this was hoaxed using audio from Red State, the sound in the Kiev videos bear a striking resemblance to the noise emitted by the giant tripod machines in the 2005 version of War of the Worlds. Though not identical, if we slow down the audio from War of the Worlds just a bit – it’s similarity to the squeak in the Kiev video is hard to ignore. By no means does my demonstration prove that the Kiev video was hoaxed. Though I wasn’t able to duplicate the sound exactly, my demonstration shows one way in which the Kiev video MIGHT have been hoaxed. However, it’s an indisputable fact that NUMEROUS hoaxes have been created by simply ripping the audio from the Kiev video, and overlaying it to a different video clip. While the authenticity of the Kiev video remains in question, it has yet to be proven as a hoax, or as authentic. The fact of the matter is – we simply don’t know. If it was NOT hoaxed, there MAY be a much more down to Earth – rather mundane cause behind the noise. We’ll pick up there in part 2.
