Serratus Anterior Exercise Using A TRX To Encourage Stability & Upward Rotation Of The Scapula

30.08.2017
We have shown several variations of serratus anterior exercises before and without doubt the Wall Slides exercise would be one of our favorites. A great exercise when in pain as it is very low level but what do you use if you are not in much pain but also not quite ready for strengthening? This is where using suspension straps like a TRX or the one featured in this video which is called a CROSSCORE are great to use. They can easily be made harder or easier by walking out further or moving in closer. The best thing with this is it is still what is known as a "closed chain" exercise that are much better for gaining more stability with in the early stages of rehab. This exercise main focus is teaching the scapula how to move into UPWARD ROTATION, and movement that is often lost when there is stiffness and instability present around the shoulder complex.
