How To Prepare Tap Water For Discus Tank

This is how i ready my tap water to put in my discus fish tank. Here in oceanside the tap is 6.6-6.8 PH but the GH is over 180 so this is the method i use to soften the water and lower the PH. Inside my filter contains a bag of Fluval Peat Granules.
