Norfolk Southern #4000 The Blue Bonnet Leading 35Q Southbound HD

My last catch of 2018, on New Year’s Eve is this paint scheme of a thoroughbred horse’s mane that Norfolk Southern has to represent their Thoroughbred of Transportation ( thanks Mike Saverino, RocketIIITurbo for the nickname, explanation and type of engine). This is a AC44C6M DC to AC conversion. So here it is on the eve of a new year and I get word by Daniel Simon ( no relation) (NOVA NS Railfan) that this train was on its way thru Manassas, Virginia. So I make my way out to the wye and the closer I get the more it rains. I get to the wye and it’s raining hard now. Since I don’t have ATCS or a radio I depend on sight and sound to know when a train is coming. I had to get out of the cars several times to check the signal lights. I also got a few texts from Daniel and Cannon the Railfan was texting me on how far out the train was. Well I finally got a green over red and then I stayed out in the rain waiting. I heard the horn from the crossing before this. So I put my phone in my breast pocket of my coat, and pulled my camera out from inside my coat. I opened the camera and I saw something different, it was saying something about my battery. I had just charged it so I hit my start button. . . Then these words came up, No SD Card. Oh No ! I Had pulled it out the night before and forgot to replace it. NOW WHAT, I asked myself? Here’s the train coming ! I look and saw my phone, so I shoved my camera in my other breast pocket and took out my phone. Well it’s an apple and my hands are soaking wet from the rain and my finger print didn’t work. So I put in my 6 digit code and it opened. I go to camera, touch it, change it from pictures to video and started filming. So that’s why the train was so close when the video starts.
