The macbook suffered liquid damage and as a result the screen went dim. No backlight was present. . We replaced the damaged LVDS Cable, replaced the damaged LVDS connector both of which did not fix the backlight problem. Looking further into the schematic, we tested and replaced a blown fuse and a damaged capacitor, all of which made the backlight work again.
