Customer purchased similar seagate hard drive and swapped the board. The seagate hard drive came alive and started spinning but was still not recognized by the computer. The bios chip or firmware most also be transferred to the new board for the drive to work. We desoldered the old bios chip and soldered the bios chip on to the new board. The hard drive was recognized by the computer and we were able to retrieve all the files.
