Railfanning Oceanside - 12/29/13 HD

While in Oceanside for the weekend, I decided to head down to the Oceanside Transit Center to do some Railfanning. The last time I Railfanned in Oceanside was back in 2011, so it was nice to return and see what has changed, especially the new SpringHill Suites Marriott Hotel right next to the station ! I also was able to talk to the Engineer on Metrolink #662 & #663, a very informative and friendly Engineer ! All I can say is that Oceanside is very busy and security is a bit annoying ! Train 1 : Amtrak 768 with F59PHI #461 & CabCar #6951. Train 2 : Metrolink Deadhead with CabCar #657 & F59PHI #882. This consist will later return to Oceanside and head North as Metrolink #858. Train 3 : Amtrak 573 with CabCar #6952 & F59PHI #462. Train 4 : Amtrak 777 with CabCar #6904 & F59PHI #457. Train 5 : Metrolink #662 with MP36PH-3C #892 & CabCar #668. Train 6 : Amtrak 572 with F59PHI #452 & CabCar #6906. The Engineer was really laying on the horn ! Train 7 : Metrolink #663 with CabCar #668 & MP36PH-3C #892. The friendly Engineer waves as he passes on by with some extra horn action ! Train 8 : Coaster #685 with F59PHI #3002 & CabCar #2306. Train 9 : Metrolink Deadhead with F59PHI #882 & CabCar #657.
