Ukraine Receives S-300 Anti-stealth Air Defense System from Slovakia. Slovakia has delivered an S-300 air-defense system to Ukraine, Slovak officials said Friday, becoming the latest ex-Communist state to send Soviet-style equipment in its arsenal to Ukraine. The air-defense system would be effective against military aircraft and short-range ballistic missiles, like the Tochka-U system that was used to hit a train station in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk on Friday.
