They perform real, heavy, strong versions of instrumental Brazilian music, especially by valuing the rhythms and musical skills of each of the four members. Balaio Quartet formed in a 2008 to play a Brazilian Project in China, where they touring since that has been touring all over China. In 2016, “Balaio Invite Randy Brecker touring with this legendary jazz musician, playing live for the first time the a show based in the 2009 Grammy award winning album, in a tour in China and through Europe. “Balaio”, the Brazilian Instrumental Quartet, lead by Marco Bosco and Leonardo Susi, together they started the Balaio quartet in 2008 where they have been touring all over China since that and during September/October 2015 extensively toured China and Hong Kong, totaling 28 concerts in one month. Leonardo Susi, the drummer, lives in Shanghai, and has performed throughout Asia, Europe and South America with artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Penfei, and Will I Am from the Black Eye Peas, John Legend, Gilberto Gil, Laura Figy, Tony Allen and the living legend Charles Aznavour among others. He can be seen playing as sideman and as leader in all of the most traditional jazz venues in China and in the Chinese Idol TV show. Marco Bosco, a percussionist with 12 solo albums under his belt now lives in Brazil. Since his debut album live in Tokyo in 1980 and countless sound-tracks for TV and Radio commercials, he has worked with great names such as Nina Simone, Hank Jones, Paul Jackson, Fred Wesley, Egberto Gismonti, Ronnie Cubber, Simon Lebon, Dianne Reeves, Sadao Watanabe, Sergio Mendes, Oscar Castro-Neves Ivan Lins, Cesar Mariano and many others, in Brazil and abroad. He had win the USA Grammy in 2009 in the Randy Brecker album Randy in Brazil, and nominated for the Latin Grammy 2012 with the album Raiz of Leila Pinheiro. Rubem Farias, electric and acoustic bass player, born in northeast of Brazil, lives in Stockholm, Sweden, since 2014. At the age of 10 years old move out to São Paulo, where he get in touch with Jazz and Instrumental Music and start his musical studies. With 7 solo albums he has performed with Brazilian and international artists like: Filó Machado, Pascoal Meirelles, Gilberto Gil, Renato Neto, Magnus Lindgren (SWE), Steinar Aadnekvam (NOR), Deodato Siquir (MOZ), Mafalda Minnozzi (ITA), Paul Ricci (EUA) Maria de Medeiros (PT).
