The pre-heater grain is configured as follows: a) 4 segments for quick lighting b) A small Nitrous orifice which burns through before the main injector opens c) Flow-through holes which align with the injector orifices to prevent strange pressure gradients in front of the injector Detailed description: http://www.spiegl.org/rocket02/hybrid11 Ignition looked pretty clean and relatively quick, although more improvement is still possible. .
