Traffic Jam HD

This jar of jam (or preserve if you prefer) can be found in a few shops in the UK, and I guess if you are into jam making you could even make it yourself. The jar contains three layers of jam. The bottom third consists of gooseberry jam, the middle third is apricot jam, and the top third is strawberry jam. These each have different colours, so starting from the top, you have red, yellow and green. Or, if you prefer, red, amber and green. Since these colours replicate the colours of traffic lights, the jar is cleverly called Traffic Jam! If you are thinking of trying it yourself, Tim has been told that you need to make sure that the bottom layer has set properly, before you add the second layer, and the second layer needs to set before you add the top layer. Apart from the fun of the three colours, it will add a little novelty to your breakfast, since you will be having strawberry jam on your toast one day, and apricot jam another day, and once you are on to the gooseberry layer, you know that you will need to be thinking about getting a new pot soon!
