Temptation – Satan Knows Whoever Has the Mind Controls the Life 1. All That We Used to be is Still in our Minds and it Has to Change 1 Jn 2:15-16 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. Titus 3:3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 2 Peter 1:4 (KJV) We are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. ● With the promises of God old lustful worldly thinking is replaced 2 Cor 7:1 having these promises, let us cleanse ourselves ● A stronghold is a map (mindset) of demonic influence ● Strongholds keep the truth out and hold the lies in ● When the mind has already been set repentance will require humility, because people become very proud of the way they think 1 Pet 2:11 abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul 1 Peter 1:13-20 (Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober) 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." 2. You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.
