Married couple argue on wedding night, dine and dash on wedding bill - TomoNews HD
TAIPEI, TAIWAN — For this couple in Taiwan, their big day had finally arrived! They booked their wedding reception and banquet at Taipei’s W Hotel and invited their friends and family. The hotel is home to the most expensive room in the country. The couple had made a deposit for the event, but at the end of the evening when the wedding manager for the W asked them about the remainder of the payment the couple told him they’d settle it in the morning. They were way too tired and wasted to deal with it at the moment. Unfortunately, in the morning the hotel staff discovered that the couple had already checked out and disappeared. Repeated calls to the couple went unanswered and 6 months later the W Hotel brought charges against the couple for breach of contract for refusing to pay for services rendered. When the court date arrived, only the wife appeared on court. She explained that she thought her husband had paid for the wedding banquet and it was only a billing error. She also added that she and her husband had argued that evening and were now living separately. The husband was eventually located and the couple settled with the W Hotel. They would pay the wedding banquet fees if the hotel would withdraw its charges against them. As for the couple, they haven’t applied for a divorce yet, but they’re not exactly making any efforts to patch up their marriage. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
