WRENCH ATTACK: 1988 Harley Davidson Softail HD

Today in the W&W workshop we have a 1988 Harley-Davidson Softail with 250.000 kilometers on the clock. Can’t blame an EVO engine for making funny noises at this time. What now? A rebuild would mean a lot of money (about € 4-5.000) and a lot of time. Also, there’s not too many dudes around who can and will do it in a hurry. If you don’t want to lose a whole riding season, what are the options? The alternative is a factory fresh S&S engine (with warranty) that just gets dropped in. Reattach all the hardware you already own and off you go. Da geht dann gern eine komplette Saison drauf. Oder Austausch?
