Live TV with guide from Android Box as a TV server HD

11.01.2015
By installing OpenELEC on my Tronsmart Vega S89H with tvheadend server and drivers for HDHomeRun Dual OT tuners included, it was very simple to create a PVR (personal video recorder, DVR) just using this inexpensive Android TV box. I am just learning about OpenELEC, so I have not perfected it 100% yet, but it works very well. The channel changing is very fast. This video shows the settings for tvheadend server and how to use the PVR addon for Kodi (XBMC). The TV streams playing on the same S89H with the OpenELEC works the same or better as on my computer, no dropped or skipped frames even with the HD channels. What all this means is that with a set of rabbit ears or preferably an outdoor antenna, a tuner and one Android TV box, you can have a full self contained DVR with a great media player also. I am using the tuners from Silicondust. http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/ Using this Android TV box. http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Tronsmart-Vega-S89-H-Amlogic-S802-H-Quad-Core-Android-TV-BOX-2G-16G-2-4G-5G-WIFI-Bluetooth-XBMC-Support-Dolby-and-DTS-326822.html And OpenELEC from this website. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?18924-OpenELEC-for-s82-M8-MXIII-Tronsmart-S89
