Your Medication Celecoxib Celecoxib is also known as the brand name Celebrex. Celecoxib comes in 100, 200, and 400mg capsules. Celecoxib is most commonly used for pain, swelling, and arthritis. It could be used for other reasons, talk with your doctor. No matter what your doctor has you taking it for, celecoxib is taken by mouth once or twice daily with a full glass of water.
