Two steam tours - The Christmas Cheshireman & The Cathedrals Express - 70013, 44871 & 45407 HD
Two steam tours in one day for me. First up is The Christmas Cheshireman, which was heading from Bristol to Chester and Crewe, with BR Standard Britannia class No. 70013 Oliver Cromwell at the helm. When it passed me at Condover near Shrewsbury, on the Welsh Marches line it was almost an hour late, but in full sun which was a bonus. The final shot comes from Tamworth where we see Ian Rileys Black Fives hammering down the West Coast mainline with a returning Cathedrals express from Chester, and there final destination was London Euston. The fives were in fantastic form with lots of whistles to boot. Hope you enjoy the footage and many thanks for watching.
