The impressive brood range from 21-year-old Zach to newborn baby Judson Wyatt. Proud father Gil, 45, runs a tree surgery business which the older boys help with. The Bates have never claimed state benefits and believe that children are a blessing from god. Each child helps with household chores and Gil and Kelly, 43, say the family is run on the basis of Christian kindness, co operation and patience - each older child is paired up with a younger child in a daily buddy system. The younger children are home schooled and the older ones are either in college or have already graduated. Many of the kids play musical instruments to OAPs at the weekends and the whole family attend church on Sundays. Gil is constantly expanding his rural home to accommodate the ever-expanding family.
