This modification to the Wanhao Duplicator i3 is to prevent the thermistors from shorting out. Wahnao USA does not honor their warranty if your thermistor shorts out the temperature circuit on the internal board. Taking apart your hot end to change a nozzle or clean a clog can cost you.
