Dramatic Interpretation of the Star Spangled Banner in American Sign Language

18.05.2011
This video was created on May 16, 2011 when the Dalton Elementary choir sang at the Colorado Rockies game. You can hear in the background the 80 or so children singing The Star Spangled Banner. These are the three Deaf students in the choir. After several weeks of work, practicing, discussing the meaning of the lyrics, etc, the three of them choreographed this unique signed interpretation on the song. All of their parents gave permission for this video to be posted on youtube. I was lucky enough to work with these wonderful kids as their sign language interpreter for the event. Enjoy!
