Alma High School Firefighter Journey Long is remembered 1 year later (Ep2) HD

Journey Long was 18 years old and a senior at Alma High School Class of 2020 in Arkansas when she took her life on September 24th, 2019. She was a volunteer Firefighter with the Dyer Fire Department. She is being remembered 1 year later. After a lengthy investigation, conclusions were drawn that First Responder PTSD may have been a contributing factor. Journey was part of an ABC News National Study that showed that Firefighter Suicides outpace Line of Duty Deaths. (LODD) Her family gathered at the Dyer Cemetery to release purple balloons to remember her. Purple was her favorite color. Journey was given a full Fire Department farewell by the Dyer Fire Department as it was never fully known if First Responder PTSD caused her death. If it was, then she deserved our gratitude for her service just as Military Members get a full honorable farewell for their service if their suicide death is caused by PTSD.
