Nikka is owned by Nikka Whisky Distilling Co with it’s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The Nikka Whisky Distilling Co owns several whisky related facilities including the Yoichi distillery, established in 1934, the Miyagikyo distillery, est in 1969 and the Ben Nevis distillery in Scotland. THIS WHISKY It is a No Age Statement that contains malt whiskies from the Yoichi (mainly) & Miyagikyo distilleries. It is a Pure Malt also known as a Blended Malt or Vatted Malt. ABV 43% 500 ml bottle COLOUR Deep Gold NOSE Light smoke, vanilla, citrus, grassy TASTE Hint of peat smoke, vanilla, honey, malt, citrus Bitter chocolate, oak spices, pepper FINISH Medium long, bitter cacao, toffee WITH WATER Nose: more toffee, caramelized citrus Taste: less bitter cacao more vanilla IN A NUTSHELL: Vanilla, Malt & Spice COMMENT: Not my favourite Nikka!
