As the title implies, it’s a laidback, soulful joint – good vibes type sonic maneuvering across the board – and a paean to the easy-going, low pressure lane in life. The song features the warm, raspy baritone of world-renowned emcee and beat maker Jneiro Jarel (best known for his work with MF DOOM and the Gorillaz) and BIGYUKI, the man with golden fingers, on keys (known for his collabs with J.Cole and A Tribe Called Quest). The instrumental is all analogue butter: synth pads swooshing and swirling, a kalimba staccato popping and crackling, shuffling real hand claps and a steady pulse of a live bass. The fellas dubbed their particular sound “modern beat-based world music”, because although their roots are firmly anchored in Hip Hop their love for all musical expressions with a deep vibe and appreciation for rhythm, drive them to draw from musical sources scattered about the globe.
