This Video Is an explanation and tips for using modes. This video simplifies what a mode is. the mode names are as follows, 1 = Ionian 2 = Dorian 3 = Phrygian 4 = Lydian 5 = Mixolydian (Dominant) 6 = Aeolian (Relative minor) 7 = Locrian Text explanation, A Mode is a section of a Scale. If I am on a 7 mile walk, and I am on the 3rd mile, I am on the 3rd MODE of the 7 mile walk. If I am playing a 7 note scale and i start on the 3rd note, I am starting on the 3rd Mode of that 7 note scale. the Major scale is a 7 note scale. Hints it has 7 modes. The pentatonic Scale is a 5 note scale. Hints it only has 5 modes. For those that it annoyed, The camera is causing the lisp sound. Not that a lisp is annoying, but those who know me might think it is annoying to hear me talk with one.
