Use Adverbs to Increase your IELTS Writing and Speaking scores!
Adding adverbs directly increases your IELTS Writing and Speaking scores, and it’s easy to do! For more information on the IELTS Speaking and Writing tests, check out www.ielts.allearsenglish.com. This is a HUGE missed opportunity to increase your vocabulary score on the IELTS Speaking and Writing tests- using interesting, native speaker-like phrases to emphasize adjectives. By using adverbs and descriptive phrases to modify the adjectives in your sentences, you show the examiner that you have enough interesting vocabulary to secure that 7 or higher on the IELTS Speaking and Writing exams. For example, instead of saying, “I have a nice house,” you could say, “I have a super nice house,” or a, “totally nice house.” You could also say, “I have a nice house, for sure / for real / indeed.” All of those adverbs and modifying phrases will increase your IELTS vocabulary scores on the Speaking exam. For more formal adverbs, try: considerably, significantly, certainly, and, indeed. Watch today’s video, and write down the examples that Jessica gives you for using these phrases to increase your IELTS Writing and Speaking vocabulary scores. Then, think of your own examples using these words, and practice, practice, practice!
