West Thumb Yellowstone Sees More Rapid Fire Swarms, Colorado Volcano Seeing More Quakes HD
Hey guys. Sorry, this video was meant to be uploaded yesterday. Remember there is a parts section below if this video is too long for you. This is the first video I have made with my new computer and new video editing software. I got the basics down but it may take me a few days to learn it. However by now you probably already know I am a fast learner. There has been some interesting seismicity both at Yellowstone and the Colorado volcano, Dotsero. I will look at some of the seismic data. It seems the magma system near Dotsero in Colorado could be waking up. It is probably no where near an eruption yet, but it does seem 2018 is holds the highest seismicity for this area. It’s pretty much a wait and see game. Parts: 00:01 – Intro 03:41 – Analysis of B208 and weird LF “tremor” 11:02 – Rapid fire swarm at West Thumb Lake, Yellowstone 16:12 – Analysis of most of the quakes 24:02 – Colorado volcano seeing more quakes 27:36 – Analysis of those plots 29:57 – Conclusion/What I truly believe The NW Geology Guy channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJkiFF4w_9k428ZSPB_h9PA Email: washingtonmagma@yahoo.com https://monitorseis.weebly.com -Resources: -IRIS station and network search map: http://ds.iris.edu/gmap -IRIS DataSelect Data Download Archive: http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/dataselect/docs/1/builder/ -JamaSEIS download: https://www.iris.edu/hq/jamaseis/ -SWARM download: https://volcanoes.usgs.gov/software/swarm/download.php -WAVES: http://www.src.com.au/downloads/waves/ - IRIS Time Series Database (2nd data download option): https://service.iris.edu/irisws/timeseries/docs/1/builder/ -USGS Quake Catalog: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/search/ -Cool Real-Time Satellite Imagery: http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/exper/ -Supervolcano Triggered by Outside Forces: https://news.illinois.edu/view/6367/273769 -Cool Real-Time Tremor Map: https://tunk.ess.washington.edu/map_display/ -Canada Seismic Agency: http://www.earthquakescanada.nrcan.gc.ca//index-en.php - ANSS Stations and Plots: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/monitoring/operations/network.php?virtual_network=ANSS -USGS Volcanoes: https://volcanoes.usgs.gov/index.html (Simply select your volcano at the top of the page and then click monitoring.
