Villagers gave a herbal treatment to a mouth injured elephant and handed over to wildlife officers HD

Today’s it is about a treatment and Trans locating mission of an injured baby elephant. The innocent baby was first noticed by the villagers. Poor baby has been unusually emaciated. He looked like a skeleton. He was wandering near the forest border of the village from few days. Few agents of the department of wildlife conservation arrived the spot and started searching the distressed elephant with the help of the villagers. It wasn’t difficult to spot the elephant as he was staying near the forest border without going deeper in to the forest as if he was looking for a help from someone to sustain the life. The poor elephant has got injuries all over its body. Further they found that his mouth has been critically injured and jaw was swollen. Unfortunately it was revealed that the cause was again the barbaric jaw exploding trap. The explosives must have hidden inside a food cover. When the poor elephant crushed the food it may have exploded and caused severe injury in the mouth. The injuries in the body may have caused by the thrown away pieces of metal from this crude bomb. The elephant must have starved from a long period in the forest as he was unable to intake foods due to the injury in the mouth. The villagers together with the wildlife officers caught the distressed elephant and treated him externally. Indigenous herbal ointment was applied on the injuries in the body. As the poor elephant cannot survive in the forest, they decided to send him to an elephant orphanage. There he will be received saline treatment regularly and fed with nutritious food to continue the life. Until the wildlife rescue officers arrived the spot to carry the distressed elephant to the orphanage home, they had to retain the elephant with ropes. Otherwise he will again ran in to the forest. Meanwhile upon hearing about the baby elephant group of monks visited the place. They started chanting a religious prayer on the poor elephant with blessings to save his life. Sympathetic villagers gave water to the elephant until the rescue team arrive the spot to carry the elephant. The rescue team arrived with a truck to carry the elephant. They loosened the rope loops to carry the elephant. But poor elephant was reluctant to go near the truck. The villagers supported to guide the elephant towards the truck. They had to pull the elephant in some occasion. But there was no other way. All these were to save his life. Not to harm him. The truck was bedded with paddy straws to make a smooth bed for the baby elephant to avoid abrasions and minimize the shocks and vibration during the travel. Finally with a painstaking effort they were able to load the elephant to the truck. They made the elephant lay down in the truck to minimize the fatigue during the long distant travel.
