The Cockleshell Heroes / Operation Frankton 2017 HD

joined 34 serving, retired and injured Royal Marines (13+) in a recreation of Operation Frankton, a daring commando raid into occupied France during WWII involving paddling a Kayak for 85 mile followed by a c. 100 mile yomp – our goal was to highlight “Overcoming Challenges” and celebrating Blondie Hasler and Bill Sparks, heroes of the mission.
