For more information regarding Matrix products and solutions, please visit our website at http://www.matrixpm.com/. This is a unit we designed last year and are very proud of. It is our Matrix X High Speed Twin Tube Vertical Form Fill Seal Machine. This particular unit has to ASNE augers on the top for dispensing powders and/or some small particulate. Forming tubes are on 26-inch centers. The entire machine is less than 50 inches wide with the concept being putting this machine into a spot where you would traditionally be running a single tube in the same real estate and more than doubling your production. The cantalevered design refers to being able to access everything from the side as opposed to the back of the machine, including what would be your thermal printer access would be removed from here, jaw access from the side, solid air chuck spindle--the film is put on from the side. Both sides have power unwinds. Some unique features here, other than the fact that it runs extremely fast, is that instead of using an articulating arm which has been used in the past to track film, we do have a completely movable back stand that moves and adjusts to film alignment right up to the forming collar like all of our vertical baggers do. This particular unit also has vacuum belts on it. In a case where poor film is used, either reverse or neutral seal eliminates that issue. Two eight-inch jaws can run from eight-inch wide on a 15-inch bag, down to two-inch by three-inch. This particular machine is running a four-by-five bag and we can run speeds up to 105-110 bags per minute per side in this particular configuration. With the scale, the machine will cycle up to 150 cycles per side. If you had a scale that could dispense with those speeds then you could run over 120-130 per side. The electrical panel is on the back. It can be remote mounted for an upcharge up to four feet away to allow greater access to the rear of the machine. This particular unit has the vacuum generators on the bottom. Single HMI on a pendent, you toggle between each side. They are completely independent of each other. You could run a three-by-five frack on one side and an eight-by-ten on earn on the other side if you had the ability to remove them from the machine once they are packaged. Large 10 1/2 inch color touchscreen. This particular machine is single point controlled in that that HMI also controls the two augers. Scale feedback can provide some incredible accuracies where we have data where we are running over an eight hour period 105 bags per side, two ounce fracks of coffee, and a .07 grams deviation of weight. We have options of collection buckets that can be put underneath the jaws, which would allow the machine to keep running even though someone is packing off the case. That is completely programmable.
