#SGSecure in the Neighbourhood - Revamped Emergency Preparedness Day @ Chong Pang & Jurong Spring HD
The first two of six pilots of the revamped Emergency Preparedness (EP) Day was officiated by Minister for Home Affairs and Law, Mr K Shanmugam, and Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr Desmond Lee, over the weekend of Saturday, 28 May 2016 and Sunday, 29 May 2016, at Chong Pang and Jurong Spring constituencies respectively. At the revamped EP Day event, residents picked up important life-saving skills such as improvised first aid, CPR, and learned how to respond to a terrorist attack with the “Run, Hide, Tell” advisory. Everyone can play a part in keeping Singapore safe and secure by staying vigilant, and reporting suspicious activities or behaviour by calling 999 or SMS 71999, if it is unsafe to talk. You can also submit information in the form of text, photos or videos to the Police via the i-Witness function in the Police@SG mobile app. Download the app now and get familiar with the i-Witness function. Also, pick up the life-saving skills on our “SG Secure” eLearning which is now available in the app. Let us #StayAlert to ever-present security threats, #StayUnited as one people, and #StayStrong to be resilient and bounce back quickly in a crisis.
