Ich widme diese Version meinem Freund Jonni244, der am 8.1.2009 plötzlich und unerwartet gestorben ist. Meine Gedanken sind bei seiner Familie. This German folk song was written by Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben (1798 - 1874), who also wrote in 1841 the German national anthem. Basically, the lyrics describe the unpleasant sides of the winter season and the longing for spring. I dedicate my version of this song to my friend Jonni244, who passed away this year on January 8. My thoughts are with his family.
