Hyderabad Monsoon Races 2018 Race No 62 Alexanderthegreat trained by L V R Deshmukh with P Trevor up wins The Deccan Queen Plate 2018 at The HYderabad Race Club Alexanderthegreat (Red Jazz – Alexandra Pearl) made ample amends for his previous failures and came into his own, dominating the race right from the start. He jumped out well and dictated the pace, with Nathu La trying to match strides with him early on. Lockhart was a close third with Super Act at the tail end, Jo Malone was withdrawn. Alexanderthegreat entered the straight and surged further ahead to take a comfortable lead past the 400m marker. Lockhart moved into second as Nathu La faded out of contention. Jockey P Trevor confidently rode out the Deshmukh-trained gelding to canter away and post a much needed maiden victory by a good margin. Lockhart chased the winner home without causing any trouble to the winner.
