10 Minute English Grammar: Word Order with Adverbs
Visit http://www.flo-joe.co.uk or http://www.ieltsspeaking.co.uk This video looks at the problem of word order when using adverbs. Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, other adverbs. or even whole clauses. For example, ‘I often practise my English speaking skills on Skype’ (adverb + verb) ‘I’m reading a very interesting book at the moment’ (adverb + adjective) My brother speaks English really well. (adverb + adverb) I need IELTS for university so obviously I need as high a grade as possible. (adverb + clause) Adverbs can often be confusing in terms of where in a sentence they go.
