Sleeping Beauty The Prince found Aurora. Once she woke up, they lived happily ever after. Is that really all to the story? Who did really “set” her free? Love? Maleficent? The prince certainly came along. Although this time not on a white horse; but very much “made of steel”. Life is really complicated. In this carefully woven web of life, in this complicated maze, it is hard for one to find oneself. Many times we believe there is someone out there who awakens us, who helps us realize who we are; however we take the rocky road to self-knowledge all alone. But once we wake up, do we really live? Aurora or the Sleeping Beauty is the main muse of the new Kinga Kovacs collection. Just like in the story, the personalities of the characters “shine” through the outfits: the naive, kind, sweet and romantic Aurora (from now on Rose) – lighter colours such as white and light pink or rose and the vengeful, unforgiving, strong and “dark” side in Maleficent – black and red. Of course, life is not only black and white, good and bad, which the designer would like to emphasize with this elegant, sophisticated, but youthful, fresh and sensual collection and awaken the audience to how beautifully and carefully intricate we are. The male lead in this story is the man “made of steel”, who represents the strong, confident, exciting man, the man, who the woman can rely on her way to self-knowledge and can build a strong future, based on steel. The man is ready to fight, special and brave. Like Rose, his journey is just as rugged. Rose, may not be as naive as we’d think and Maleficent may not be as evil either. The thread joins after all.
