Our CARDIO workout will be 50 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest … WARM UP 1. Jumping Jacks 2. Pogo Hop Touch – Left 3. Pogo Hop Touch – Right 4. Mountain Climbers 5. Power Skip Big Arms 6. Side Side Squat Shuffle 7. Burpees8. Irish Jig 9. Speed Skaters 10. Star Plank Jump Outs COOL DOWN DAY 23 Yep, 22 days in and it happened. Yesterday I missed doing a daily journal. WHY? Because despite having a phenomenal day with my nutrition, mindset, and filming the BRAND NEW strength workout for the week… as soon as the crew left and the kids started arriving home from school, my house quickly became the scene of a epic FLU pandemic. Projectile vomit, diarrhea, you name it … by 10pm every single one of us was stricken with 1 of the 2 symptoms — if not BOTH. Yep, FUN TIMES. FAST FORWARD to TODAY… and to say I was “less than enthusiastic” about trying to rally to film the new cardio routine would be an understatement. With both of my boys home sick, and feeling less than 100% myself, it was a real challenge to motivate myself to put on a happy face and give it all I had. So instead of “faking it” for the camera, I did what I apparently everyone connects with the most — I GOT REAL. During the warm-up (with Parker curled up sick on the couch in the background, and Finn sound asleep napping upstairs in his room) I let everyone know exactly what was happening today behind the scenes and how I was REALLY feeling. Best decision EVER. I pushed through, got the workout done… and felt much better mentally by the end. I drank 3.5 litters of water for the day, but felt nauseated the majority of the day and didn’t eat much at all. THE HIGHS? Fingers xx this thing is just a 24 hour virus and everyone wakes up on the other side of it tomorrow.
