Harmony Mendoza talks winter weather to start 2017 HD

Winter weather in the forecast may begin in northern Alabama as early as Thursday night. This sets the stage for almost three separate events Thursday through Saturday in the Deep South. The first wave will move through Thursday, with a reinforcing shot of cold air by Friday morning. Light snow is possible from early Friday through Friday night, as a low pressure system moves eastward along the northern Gulf of Mexico. Another forecast model shows a brief period of frozen precipitation redevelopment in southern Alabama and southern Georgia Saturday morning.
