STATIC CHARGE BENDS WATER - TAMIL - Fun with Static Electricity! HD

Fill a bottle with water and place it on a perch. Then make a small hole with a needle near the bottle base. A thin stream of water will gush out. Bring an ordinary comb near the water stream and nothing will happen. Now rub the comb on wool to knock off some of the electrons and charge it electrically. Now on bringing the charged comb near the water stream it will be attracted to the comb. You can visibly see the water stream bend. Instead of the comb you can repeat the experiment with a charged straw or a charged balloon. This experiment works best on a cold, dry day.
