Figuring Out Fountains at Museum of Discovery HD

We learned what makes fountains work in our 6 and under program, Wiggle Worms. You can make this at home with a plastic bottle, a straw (cut hole in bottle and place straw in hole), putty to secure the straw, water and a balloon. Fill the bottle up with water (fill slightly above straw location.) Blow up the balloon, place over the opening of the bottle and let go! As the air escapes the balloon and into the bottle, it forces the water out of the only exit, the straw.
