How to Make Pokeball Cookies - DIY Pokemon Sugar Cookies!

These pokeball cookies were super easy to make and also delicious! I set some of the cookies out at the party and also bagged some up for the party guests to take home. These are a must for a Pokemon themed birthday party! Sugar Cookie Recipe: • 3 cups flour • ½ tsp salt • 1 ½ tsp baking powder • 1 cup sugar • 1 cup butter • 1 egg • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 3 tsp heavy whipping cream Cream together the butter and sugar. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. Add in the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Once all the dry ingredients are mixed in, add in the heavy whipping cream. Roll out the dough and use a round cookie cutter to make the pokeball shape. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes at 350 F degrees. Remove to a cooling rack and let cool completely before icing the cookies. Royal Icing Recipe: • 3 tablespoons Wilton Meringue Powder (http://amzn.to/2jyDTyv) • 4 cups of powdered sugar • 6 tablespoons of water (I used more to make it a smoother consistency) Beat all ingredients on low speed for 10 minutes until icing forms peaks Other Ingredients: • White M&M’s for the center of the pokeball • Wilton’s Color Right Black Gel Base - http://amzn.to/2kNQxi4 • Wilton’s Color Right Red Gel Base -http://amzn.to/2kNQpPK *The Wilton’s Color Right food coloring is more pigmented and requires less when trying to achieve the right color.
