One, Normally open type and another one is normally closed type.. In this video, we connect reed switch with cpu fan and LED bulb. Lets see!.. What is a reed or magnetic switch? The reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. A magnetic switch consists of a pair of contacts on ferrous metal reeds in hermetically sealed glass envelope. The contact may be normally open, closing when a magnetic field is present. Or normally closed and opening when a magnetic field is applied. Here I have normally open switch. I am connecting this in simple cpu fan circuit. Let see… When I am getting magnet close to magnetic switch, it’s connecting the circuit and the CPU fan is working… when it’s away from magnetic field, circuit open, and the cpu fan stopped… In a same way, I also try it with LED bulb. When I am getting magnet close to magnetic switch, reed switch connecting the circuit and the LED bulb is on … Let’s meet in new video, with a new device with use of magnetic switch!
