KILLER METAL BASS RIFF – Playing Melodically with the Whole Tone Scale HD
Looking for a terrifying, difficult, KILLER new bass riff? Look no further! In this video, I show you a metal riff based on the whole tone scale and explain how it all works! TAB/sheet music available HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/view/x53y8pcvb141c5a/Killer_Metal_Riff.pdf Instagram: https://instagram.com/musiconthedlo/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MusicontheDLo SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/musiconthedlo Curious Beginner Bass Guitar Course: https://curious.com/dlomusic The whole tone scale is one that is constructed by moving up in whole steps from a note until reaching the octave. Because each note is evenly spaced, the scale is symmetrical and has a strange ‘floating’ quality to it – there is no pull towards any individual note (no tonic). Although this exercise is performed on bass in the video, it can certainly be played on any instrument (guitar, piano, mandolin, etc.). Give it a try!
